Overview
About Approach Dating
Founded by Riley Foster and Allison Cousins, Approach Dating is a platform dedicated to solving the frustrations that come with online dating by creating in-person meet ups and events for users.
My role
I helped iterate and collaborate with the founding team to meet requirements and platform functionalities. I conducted market research on existing dating applications to improve overall product functionality and UI elements. I collaborated closed with the founders to reenvision their existing UI and create a more streamlined, intuitive and user friendly experience.

Create better functionality that inspires users, enhance overall visual interface and provide high fidelity prototype to aid in capital raise.

Solution
After reviewing competitors and working with founders I concluded the largest pain-point of the existing platform was the interface and overall usability.
To ensure product responsiveness, overall functionality and visual appearance I worked to create a new version of the application including all features in the original application.
Goals
Increase visual appearance of Approach Dating appliaction.
Stakeholder Needs
Ensure high fidelity wireframes are prototyped for capital raise.
Core Functions
Include geo-location feature, business browsing, messaging and radial match system.
Interface Creation
Reimagine current interface and ensure all features are included while maintaining Approach Dating branding.

Wireframing
The wire-framing phase focused on reenvisioning the current Approach Dating platform to increase overall functionality and visual appearance. Utilizing tools such a Figma, allowed for rapid iteration on layouts and user flows, as well as rapid prototyping. Key activities included:
Onboarding
Redesigning key features such as user onboarding. Streamlining this process will descrease user drop-off rates and help users onboard faster.
Approach Dating Partner Marketplace
Ensuring the partner/in-person meet up market place is easy to use and simple.
Messaging Functionality
Simplifying and streamlining message feature for users to schedule in-person meet ups following match notification.
